Some men are content with being a "sometimy baby daddy". I feel that it is quite pathetic. You spent more time making the child then you do seeing the child. Ridiculous and very sad to say the least!!

WOW! I have gone through this same and similiar situations with my son's sperm donor on far too many occasions. It troubles me to hear of someone else going through the same thing. It's makes no sense at all. My "father" did the same thing to my mom when I was growing up. Now, he brags about me to other people. And when I find out, I'm like, how could he possibly brag on me??? He knows nothing about me personally. He only knows what he has heard from others. Luckily my mom raised me with strong values and morals... that's all you have to do in the same situation. She never bad mouthed him to me... I found out about him on my own and your little will do the same.

Evelyn - it is so sad that there are so many "fathers" out there that take this hands off approach. It is something that I will never ever understand. But you are right - she will find out on her own. Lucky for her she is still too young to notice his mess.
